Q: Is Airlie Court Holiday Units suitable for families?

A:  Airlie Court Holiday Units was designed as spacious studio units ideal for doubles or twin share with a queen and single bed.  Being spacious units an extra bed is possible but takes up most the floor space.  A total of a Queen and 2 single beds all in the one studio unit is the maximum therefore sleeping a maximum of 4 persons.  You need to contact us by phone (07) 4946 6218.

Q: Is Airlie Court Holiday Units Wheelchair friendly?

A: The building structure was completed in the early 1970’s and as a result were not designed with wheelchair access in mind.

Q: Is there a secure carpark facility?

A: One car parking space is provided per unit.  This is undercover and off-street.  It is not lockable but the carpark faces on to the ground floor units.   We have a front gate (in the form of a Big Map) that we close at night as a deterent and the premises have low security fencing.   Historically despite being so central we have had very little problem with car security.

Q: Is there a restaurant at Airlie Court Holiday Units?

A: KC’s Chargrill is on the premises.  Arguably the longest serving restaurant in the town it is famous for serving up mouth watering and hefty chargrilled steaks and seafood in an ambient atmosphere or alfresco on the footpath right in the centre of town.

Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: Smoking is not permitted in your unit however ashtrays are provided with chairs outside.

Q: Are there barbecue facilities?

A: Out the back downstairs is a BBQ with tables and chairs – for alfresco dining.  You will need to advise us in advance once you are here if you wish to use the BBQ.

Q: Is the beach accessible? How far away is it?

A: The main beach and park is less than 100 metres across the road.  The swimming Lagoon is 200 metres down the street.

Q: Which languages are spoken at the reception?

A: English, but Peter can say “thanks” in heaps of languages – German, French, Hungarian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Aussie…..

Q: Does Airlie Court Holiday Units accept credit cards?

A: Payments can be made securely online at the time of booking or at reception by cash, eftpos or credit (we accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express and Diners Club for accommodation only).

 

Accommodation

Q: Is there a CD or DVD player in the unit?

A: Yes, bring your favourite CD’s & DVD’s. We have a DVD player that is compatible with most discs but not certain until you try it.

Q: Is there an iPod Dock in the unit?

A: Yes, we have an iPod Dock with clock/radio/alarm next to your queen bed.  There is a cord for mp3 as well.

Q: Is it possible to connect to internet in my unit?

A: All units have access to broadband ADSL2 WiFi (wireless access) for an optional extra fee that can be chosen on-line.

Q: Do you supply towels and linen?

A: All towels and linen are provided.  We offer fresh towels every 2nd day or at your discretion and fresh sheets after the 5th night.

Q: Is there a selection of pillows available in the unit?

A: Always, all units are prepared with several pillows per Queen bed, 2 extra in the cupboard and any further pillows can be ordered through reception.

Q: Do you supply beach and pool towels?

A: Beach and pool towels are not available so you may have to bring your own.

Q: Are there TV’s in the units? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?

A: Yes, all units have High Definition 42″ LCD televisions.   Satellite tv channels provided by Austar with over 26 channnels (including sport & movies) are available as well as 11 free to air channels plus radio channels.

Q: Does each unit have a telephone that can dial directly outside?

A: Telephones are not provided in any rooms, however all local phone books are in the bedside drawer.   There is good strength range for mobile phone users.

Q: What kind of air conditioners do you use?

A: Our air conditioners are whisper quiet split system so they can be used for cooling and heating.   Air conditioners are located in the main studio room.

Q: Do the units have a balcony?

A: There are balcony chairs in front of each unit (with ashtrays). 

Q: Is there room service available?

A: Room service after 7 nights is possible on request.  Our units are “self-contained” – meaning all towels/linen and kitchen is included.  This is like living at home so we don’t as a rule wish to enter your unit during your stay but leave it all to you.  Being self-contained the expectation is that you leave the unit as you found it – including doing the dishes – sorry to say :(    All dishwashing equipment & tea towel is provided for such.

Q: Do the units have a Laundry?

A: We have a Guest Laundry located downstairs.  It has a washing machine (2 x $1coins) and a dryer ($1 = 1 hour). We provide complimentary washing powder as well as two tubs/sinks and a clothes line.

 

Dining

Q: Do you have a Restaurant?

A: KC’s Chargrill is a long established steakhouse with a great Steak & Seafood Specialist reputation located at the front of the premises next to Reception. 

Q: Does the Restaurant cater for vegetarian guests?

A: Yes, there is a selection of vegetarian meals.

Q: Is breakfast included in the price?

A: There is no breakfast included as a kitchen is available in your unit with cutlery, crockery, toaster and jug.  We are also within a close distance to many delicious breakfast cafes. 

Arrival and Departure

Q: What time should I arrive at your holiday units?

A: Check-in time is from 2pm, however if you arrive earlier feel free to bring your car into the carport – off street and undercover.   We will practically try and get you in from 12 noon if possible.

Q: When is the departure time?

A: Check-out from your room is 10am but you can leave your car parked or luggage at Reception longer.

Q: What if we arrive late or when Reception is closed?

A: We have a blackboard at the back of Reception that we will put your name on and your unit number.  We will either leave the key inside the sliding door or at a pre-arranged spot – you can call us on 07 4946 6218 for very late/early arrivals .  We also have a free phone at the back of Reception that will contact us directly.   If you are driving please do not feel you have to arrive by any certain time – just drive carefully and arrive safely.
